Many houses in Ireland have either no insulation in the attic or are inadequately insulated. A €400 grant is now available under the Better Energy Homes Scheme towards the cost of attic insulation. Even if you have existing attic insulation, homes typically have 4 inches of fibreglass, you can avail of the grant to top up this insulation to the 12 inch level required under the Better Energy Homes Scheme.
